Manbake Protein Bars Review

I've had the pleasure of being able to try most of the Manbake protein bars, and I am SO glad I have! I am overall pleased with most of them and love the texture. They are very soft and sweet. The nutritional composition of the bars are very similar to quest bars. The ingredients are whey protein, prebiotic fiber, nuts (almonds or cashews depending on which flavor), xylitol, natural flavors, and pink Himalayan salt. The chocolate chip cookie dough and double chocolate chip bars have chocolate chips (sugar, unsweetened chocolate, cocoa butter, and non gmo soy lecithin) in their ingredients list too. They are gluten-free, paleo friendly, non-gmo, and very low carb/high protein. The calories range from 160-190. For a 190 calorie cookie dough bar, there are 8g fat, 22 g carbs (17 g fiber), and 20 g protein. The bars all have similar nutritional info. Because I know people will ask how they compare to quest bars, I will say that they have their pros and cons. They are MUCH softer. I looooove soft and chewy. I haven't tried baking or microwaving these because they are soft enough as it is. The flavors vary though; some are better while some are not so great. I will detail the flavors below.Apple Pie - This flavor is definitely better than the quest version if you ask me. The apple pie aspect is SPOT on. While the quest apple pie is good, this one is better. It does not leave any after-taste and it is so sweet.Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough - THIS IS LEGIT. If you're looking to basically eat cookie dough, this is it. I honestly had to double and triple check the label to see how the heck this is healthy. It is soo sweet and tastes like eating cookie dough out of a tub. It has the same consistency of cookie dough too so that's a plus; the texture is comparable to caramel chews. Don't get me wrong, the quest cookie dough bar is my second favorite of the quest bars; it's delicious because it tastes like BAKED cookies (rather than dough). THIS bar tastes like the dough itself. Hngggg.Strawberry - I'm iffy about this bar... The strawberry flavor is overwhelming at first and kind of tart. I didn't like it the first time I tried it. But then I grew to love the taste and crave this flavor a lot. It takes adjusting I think; tart is the best word I can think of.Vanilla Latte - I was super excited for this flavor, but I'm not a fan of this one. The latte flavor is way too strong to me. Kind of like a shot of espresso to your mouth, ha.Double Chocolate Chip - Also not a huge fan of this flavor. Like the latte one, the chocolate flavor is too strong for me. It's bitter rather than sweet. Like a super dark chocolate bar. If you like 95%+ dark chocolate, then awesome. But I can't do it.Overall, I love these bars a lot!! I love that there are a handful of companies now with absolutely healthy protein bars; 5 years ago all protein bars were sugar-packed, glorified candy bars. Each brand seems to have their own unique aspect to it, so there's many options. I am loving the soft/chewy texture of Manbake protein bars as well as the very sweet flavors (you know I love sweet).
