Chocolate Raspberry "Poptart"

I had this crazy craving as I cooled down at the gym today (this is when most of my wild hangry cravings come, or in the car ride home). I really wanted to make a fruity "poptart." I had seen a similar panani-pressed protein thing on instagram before, but wanted to go ALLL OUTTTT. And man it came out PERFECT. The raspberry jam got sooo delicious after it was heated up. I mean, it was already good beforehand :p But it was irresistible afterwards! I wasn't sure if it'd be sturdy enough to hold afterwards, but it was!! That made happy. And it was perfect post-workout because it was packed with simple carbs from the fruit, complex carbs from the tortilla, and topped with protein! I'm soooo excited to experiment with flavors in the future!!photo (58)Chocolate Raspberry "Poptart"Serves: 1Poptart Base:

  • 1/2 cup frozen raspberries
  • 8-10 Chocolate Raspberry SweetLeaf Stevia drops (or regular flavor)
  • Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Whole Grain Tortilla

Chocolate Glaze:

  • 2 TBSP plain greek yogurt
  • 1/2 scoop chocolate whey protein
  • 5-6 plain SweetLeaf Stevia drops

Maple Peanut Butter Drizzle:

  • 1 TBSP peanut flour
  • 1 TBSP sugar free syrup
  • 1/2 TBSP unsweetened almond milk

First, microwave the raspberries for 45 seconds. Add the stevia and swirl/mash the raspberries in order to create a jam. Place this jam in the middle of an ezekiel tortilla; fold all four sides. Spray a panini press or countertop grill (I used a grill) with a nonstick spray, then press down the poptart base until it starts to brown slightly. Make the chocolate glaze by mixing the three ingredients together; spread on the poptart. Make the maple peanut butter drizzle by mixing the three ingredients together and drizzle on top to be pretty :)
