Spaghetti Squash Spaghetti
Mmmm homemade italian food! This was delicious and soo filling! And because you use spaghetti squash instead of noodles, it's low carb/low cal as well! I totally ate this directly out of the pan; it made me feel like a beast. Yussss.Spaghetti Squash SpaghettiServes: 1
- 2 cups already cooked spaghetti squash
- 4 oz 97% lean ground turkey
- 1 cup chopped zucchini
- 1/4 cup chopped white onion
- huge handful of raw spinach
- 1/3 cup all natural tomato sauce
- 3 fresh basil leaves, diced (or ~1 tsp dried basil)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
Preheat the oven to 350F. In a skillet coated in a nonstick spray or olive oil, cook the ground turkey until just lightly brown. Next, lightly sautee the zucchini and white onion for 3-5 minutes (just to soften them up). I like to simply throw in the zucchini and onion right before the ground turkey is done to save time! Spray a 9x9 dish (or any dish that holds everything! ;p) with a nonstick spray, and add the already cooked spaghetti squash, the turkey, zucchini, onions, and a handful of raw spinach. Pour the tomato sauce on top and toss the herbs on as well; stir it all up to mix the flavors together! Then bake everything at 350F for 20 minutes. Enjoy :)
